Colour Transects, at a distance.
the objective
- is to familiarise you with those aspects of Photoshop you need so you can make Colour Transects using our templates, then confidently create your own and evolve the technique.
HOW IT WORKS
• Send us your booking form. The button is at the bottom of this section.
• Next, we will set up a trial Skype or Zoom call to ensure our connection is good and you are familiar with screen-sharing. Assuming all is well, you will be invoiced for the course.
• On receipt of payment, we will send you the Colour Transect Photoshop templates. You should ensure at this stage that you can open them.
• Ahead of your first lesson, I will ask you to select two of your own images to work with, cropped to a 4 x 5 aspect ratio. If you’re unsure how to do this, I’ll show you at the start of your first lesson. You can send these to me by MailBigFile or WeTransfer - both are free services.
• In the first lesson, which lasts about an hour, I will introduce you to those tools in Photoshop relevant to this work and show you how to use the templates.
• Before the next lesson, I will ask you to have a go at using a template yourself and note any problems you have for discussion in our second lesson.
• In the second lesson, which also lasts about an hour, we will resolve any issues you had and set about completing the collage, ready for printing.
EQUIPMENT AND LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
You will need a computer with Adobe Photoshop loaded. Ideally this should be the latest version, but the templates will work with Adobe CC back to 2017, although the this vintage is less convenient. You also need a Skype account, which is free, and a stable internet connection.
You should be familiar with your computer although your knowledge of Photoshop can be quite basic.
